In todays society everyone seems to be in a hurry. Having goals and ambitions we want things to happen quickly. Our agendas need to be met in the time we want them to be met. If we don’t get what we want when we want life can become a frustration to us. We want to go up quickly and become overnight success stories or young CEO’s. Anything that goes up fast has no depth. Its like the seed that fall on wayside ground, you spring up fast but have no depth because you’re not planted in good soil.
The problem with having no depth is that, when the winds blows or challenges come you won’t have a sure foundation and you’re going to fall. Not only that, but you don’t have the benefit of life experiences to know how to react. We must learn to live life line upon line, not taking the elevator but the stairs. It takes time to be great. It’s a slow walk to greatness. To become great you must let patience have its good work. We all have the potential for greatness, but we tend to lack the patience needed to allow it to come forth. Patience is what allows you to grow up as you go up. Growing up means having the maturity to sustain your success. Strive for greatness but let patience be the vehicle that takes you there.
